Sketching Potential: The Hope Booth. Conference of Possibility Studies. Cambridge, UK.
Leimanis, Ilga (2024) Sketching Potential: The Hope Booth. In: 4th International Conference of Possibility Studies, 8-12 July 2024, Cambridge, UK.
This conference presentation has been re-worked for publication in Possibility Studies in Action: Creative and Inclusive Workshop Practices, Linda Hofman (ed), Palgrave MacMillan (2026)
I shared my research on Sketching Potential: The Hope Booth at the 4th International Possibility Studies Conference at University of Cambridge. I shared research about my Thinking Through Drawing workshop as an example of the creative research methodologies we use in our UAL Academic Support workshops, Sisters Hope, my collaboration with my sister Andra and finding that space between ‘here’ and ‘there’.
The conference brought together scholars, researchers, and practitioners from around the world and from across disciplines with an interest in the diverse methods associated with understanding, studying, and fostering the possible within minds, communities, and cultures. https://www.possibilitystudies.net
Thank you to the organisers for accepting my proposal, to my fellow panel presenters and chair Sabrina Sauer and for all the great comments and observations from the audience! Thank you to Graham Barton and UAL Academic Support for supporting this work.
